Application Checklist

In order to process a rental application, please review our screening criteria.

You must submit ALL of the following items in order to process the application:

  • Completed Application
  • Application Fee
  • Copy of Identification – Upload where indicated in the application
  • One Months Worth of Pay Stubs – Upload where indicated in the application
  • Pre-Lease Security Deposit*

 

* The Pre-Lease Security Deposit can be submitted to EIG any of the following ways:

  • PayPal Payment (Recommended) made at the completion of the application.
    • Please note – for credit card payments, a 3-4% service charge will retroactively be charged to you if application is approved.
    • A “hold” for the Pre-Lease Deposit amount will be placed on the card and will only be charged if your application is approved.
  • Drop off at EIG Office – Payment must be in the form of a cashier’s check or money order.  24/7 Drop box available outside of office
    • Fill out an envelope with the unit you are applying for, deposit amount, name, phone number, and email address.
  • Mail to our office – 1012 N 5th Street, Minneapolis MN 55411

Applications are processed on a first come-first serve basis. All items must be submitted, including the Pre-lease Deposit, before the application process can begin.

EIG is good to rent from. They send emails with pertinent information to tenants, so you can stay informed. They also do a decent job of responding to maintenance requests, although I would recommend being very clear about your desired results with any requests you make. Have rented from EIG for almost 2 years and have never had issues with management or maintenance. If something needs to be fixed it’s normally done in a timely matter (unless they are backed up with requests). Bonnie is by far the most professional, friendly, understanding and compassionate Senior Property Manager I have ever had the pleasure of working with. So for anyone paying attention to the lower star ratings, It’s quite simple: be a respectful neighbor, pay your rent on time and you won’t have any issues- in fact, you’ll probably find that whole experience is rather enjoyable 🙂 Would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to rent in the greater twin cities area.
